Governance
Nonprofit formation filed
Starr County Behavioral Health Center has filed for incorporation as a Texas nonprofit corporation. We intend to apply for 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status; that application has not yet been submitted to the IRS. The founding Board of Directors is being seated now. As each governance milestone is reached — the board seated, the 501(c)(3) application filed, the IRS determination letter — we will post it, not before.

Coalition
Building the coalition — briefings underway
The work of building a coalition is genuinely underway. Briefings are underway with county leadership, engagement is active with the Sheriff's Office on crisis response and diversion, and the Center has been formally presented to the Hospital District Board. We describe this work by sector, not by name — we name an organization only after it confirms in writing.
