Starr County Behavioral Health Center has filed for incorporation as a Texas nonprofit corporation. We intend to apply for 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status; that application has not yet been submitted to the IRS. We are building this in the open — and building its legitimacy first.

We hold ourselves to radical honesty, and that includes how we talk about your gift. Starr County Behavioral Health Center is not yet a 501(c)(3) organization and has not yet applied for tax-exempt status. We have filed our Texas nonprofit formation, and we intend to apply for 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status, but that application has not yet been submitted to the IRS. Donations are not tax-deductible at this time. We will update this page the day that changes.
