We do not ask anyone to take our word for it. Each agency that has given us data gets its own page — the full dataset, what we calculated from it, and every place it does not yet reconcile. New agencies land here as their records arrive.
The record
Status is about our work, not theirs. “Published” means the dataset is on this site in full; “awaiting” means we have asked and have not yet received. Nothing here says whether an agency supports, has joined, or funds the Center.
Emergency department, Starr County
Behavioral health emergency department volume, payer mix and disposition across three reporting periods. Cost per encounter not yet provided.
County law enforcement and detention, Starr County
Mental health evaluations, emergency detentions, transport hours and miles, and jail bookings where mental health was a factor, across three fiscal years.
Federal shortage designations
Three standing Health Professional Shortage Area designations covering Starr County — mental health, primary care and dental. Public federal data, not a request we made.

Not a dataset: the public law that already permits a district-sponsored nonprofit to provide this care. Quoted clause by clause, with the chapter itself linked so you can check us.
How this works
The same four steps for every agency, so the next one is no harder than the last.

A written request for de-identified, aggregate counts of what the agency already absorbs. No individual records, no names, no case numbers. The request and its date go on the public log.

We check the dataset against itself — totals against components, miles against hours, one year against the next. Anything that does not add up is written down before we publish, not after.

The agency gets its own page: every figure with its source, every estimate with its assumptions, every discrepancy named. A chart without its table and its source does not ship.

The page feeds the stakeholder briefing, and the briefing links back. One record, many readers.

Each of these holds records that would sharpen the picture. As each arrives it gets a page of its own, built to the same four steps.
